Charlotte Cartwright

Charlotte is a fully qualified and insured Personal trainer and StrongFirst Level 1 Kettlebell instructor and has a huge amount of practical knowledge and experience gained through years of study and working with elite level athletes.

Charlotte graduated from the University of Brighton in 2009 with a B.Sc. (Hons) in Sport and Exercise Science.

In 2011 she started a Masters in Applied Exercise Science whilst working full time. As well as studying for her M.Sc. Charlotte worked as a trainee physiologist at the English Institute of Sport working with the GB rowing team and developing young athletes. She also worked with several Paralympic athletes during this time.

“Working at the EIS was amazing. I gained a lot of experience in an elite sports environment. I was exposed to top level science as well as top level athletes.”

In 2013 Charlotte was awarded her M.Sc. with a dissertation focusing on Talent ID Science in youth athletes.

“All the elite level work and study was fantastic and something that I am still very passionate about to this day, but I felt something was missing – I wanted to apply my knowledge to a wider audience of people who could really benefit from it.”

Charlotte completed her Personal Training and Extreme Kettlebell Instructor Courses to enable her to train clients from all walks of life. At this point she was invited to join Train Strong Personal Training.

Always keen to keep her knowledge at the forefront of the industry Charlotte has recently passed the gruelling StrongFirst Level 1 Kettlebell qualification. She is also preparing for her UK Strength and Conditioning Accreditation which will develop her skills in Weight Lifting and programming for Elite athletes.
